Blog 80 Christmas in Chuchuliga

Father Isaac invited us to perform the Christmas play in Chuchuliga, at his church. Of course we went there. It is a huge adventure for our children.

It was in the vacation, so that made it also an adventure for the staff. On Saturday Kojo, Asiawon and Margreet went there, to see how we would organize, and to bring the cloths and props. That took a long time, because there was a meeting going on with the football team.

On Sunday Margreet went to pick Asiuk and Saviour from Siniensi, early in the morning. After that all the other children. Some parents forgot, so we had to do a lot of waiting. But, in the end we were just in time in church for mass.

After mass we dressed, the audience went outside. Oh... performing in a different place is difficult! David, our angel Gabriel had no clue where he had to go to. And even the staff had forgotten that you cannot speak loud when you are only behind a mat!😉

The play went well. People were very enthusiastic. They showed it by clapping loudly, but also by donating! Wow! Afterwards we went to Sandema for a meal at the Community centre.

It was a great, new experience!
