Blog 78 Harvesting groundnuts

After plowing on July 3rd, groundnuts were planted. That is done by Kojo and Akanzeriba. The groundnuts could be harvested now, October 22. That's quite a job. Kojo did the actual harvesting with the help of Akanzeriba, Arafat and Adawen.

The groundnuts still have to be pulled from the plant. We did that with the help of everyone. We have been working on this all day and it is now almost finished. Kojo and company take on the rest.

This was a nice day, because there is a lot of chatting and playing while picking! And eating of course!

By the way, the Community based Workshop has made a peanut roasting 'machine', on which you can also roast meat!
