Blog 70. Visit from new Ghana Education (acting) Director

Builsa North has a new (acting) director for Ghana Education Service. Richard and I went to greet to introduce ourselves and the Lumen Mundi Foundation. It was a short visit, very to the point, very informative. And the good news is, that he wanted to visit us!

That same week he was already in Siniensi. Together with the special needs officer and human resource officer. They were really impressed! That is extra good to know, because the previous director thought we should be under Social Welfare. But we are education! And luckily, this director recognized us immediately!

Kennedy, the special needs officer had visited the school before. He also was very impressed. A lot of work has been done, and many more children are helped.

GES also visited the Community Based Workshop. Again, a big compliment for us! They bought pots and cooking bags! Great!

The director invited the Lumen Mundi School to march on Independence Day, which was a big surprise, because there were only 10 basis schools invited, and we would be number 11.

But that will be the next blog!
